This increase in public prices is the result of a sharp increase in apartment prices (market prices) last year. In this regard, looking at the distribution of apartment houses by public price level in the province, the public price of relatively expensive apartments seems to have increased.

Nevertheless, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport explained that this year there will be more targets for reduction than property tax increases. There are 52,4690 apartments nationwide with an official price exceeding 900 million won, and 94.7% are concentrated only in Seoul (41,2970 households, 78.7%) and Gyeonggi (84,323 households, 16%). The housing tax is levied when the public price of one household exceeds 900 million won on the 1st of June every year, and the total published price for single-family households, apartments, etc. exceeds 600 million won.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport plans to collect opinions from the owners and local governments by the 5th of next month, and make a decision and publicize it on the 29th of the same month by the 5th of next month.
