President Moon Jae-in’s approval rating for state administration has plummeted. The 40% mark also collapsed. It has been only five weeks since the first week of February that the approval rating for the presidential administration fell below 40%.

Real Meter conducted a public opinion poll on 2510 voters nationwide from the 8th to 12th at the request of YTN and released it on the 15th. As a result of the weekly count for the 2nd week of March, President Moon’s positive evaluation of the state administration was 37.7%, down 2.4% from the previous week. 19.4% said they were very good, and 18.3% said they were good.

It was only 5 weeks after the weekly count for the first week of February (39.3%) announced on the 8th of last month that the positive evaluation reached the 30% level.

The negative evaluation was 57.4%, up 1.7 percentage points from the previous week. It was counted as 43.1% who are very wrong and 14.2% who are wrong. ‘Don’t know, no response’ rose 0.7 percentage points to 4.9%.

The difference between positive evaluation and negative evaluation is 19.7% point, which is outside the range of error. The previous week was 14.9 percentage points. The difference widened near 5 percentage points.

Looking at the daily indicators, the degree of support for the implementation of state administration declined as we went back. From 41.9% on the 5th (54.7% negative) to 39.2% on the 8th (56.3% negative), 38.5% on the 9th (55.6% negative), 39.4% on the 10th (55.0% negative), 37.3% on the 11th The flow of approval ratings changed to (57.6% negative evaluation) and 36.5% (59.6% negative evaluation) on the 12th.

It is interpreted that the allegations of speculation by employees of the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) have become bad news for the government’s ruling party.

When looking at the approval rating by region, the decline was large in Seoul (32.6%), down 5.8% points from Jeonju. In Gwangju and Jeolla, it was 58.8%, down 5.3%.

By age group, in their 20s (9.1%p↓, 26.4%), 70s or older (8.1%points↓, 31.6%), approval ratings fell from the previous week, while in their 40s (1.2%points↑, 51.3%) and 30s (1.2%) Point ↑, 40.9%).

The party approval rate recorded 32.4%, an increase of 0.4 percentage points from the previous week. The Democratic Party fell 0.9 percentage points from the previous week, and it was counted at 30.1%. The gap between the two parties is 2.3 percentage points, which is within the margin of error.

The Democratic Party’s approval rating fell 2.0 percentage points from the previous week to 27.6% in Seoul, where the re-elections were held in April. On the other hand, the power of the people rose by 2.2 percentage points and recorded 36.4%, widening the gap.
