There were 354 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) nationwide on the 14th (as of 9 pm).
According to the health authorities, as of 9 p.m. on the same day, out of 17 metropolitan cities and provinces nationwide, confirmed cases were found in 15 cities and provinces excluding Jeju and Sejong.
The previous day (the 13th) decreased by 46 from 400 in the same time period. However, considering the additional outbreaks overnight, the number of confirmed cases is expected to be in the mid-to-late half of 400.
By region, the number was 151 in Gyeonggi, 109 in Seoul, 31 in Gyeongnam, 14 in Incheon, 10 in Gangwon, and 9 in Chungbuk. In addition, there were 5 people in each of Jeonbuk, Chungnam, and Daegu, 4 in Busan, 3 in each of Gyeongbuk and Daegu, and 2 in each of Ulsan and Daejeon, and 1 in Gwangju.
On this day, the spread of group infections related to public baths in Daesang-dong, Jinju-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, remained.
On that day, 17 confirmed cases related to the Jinju bath were among the new confirmed cases, and a total of 150 cases were recorded. A total of 2991 subjects were tested and 150 subjects (including the first confirmed cases) were tested positive. 2008 were negative, and the remaining 834 were being tested.
There were also confirmed cases related to public baths in Geoje, Gyeongnam. Of a total of 444 people related to the Okpo bathhouse in Geoje, 5 (including the first confirmed person) were positive and 341 were negative. The rest of the personnel are currently undergoing specimen testing.
In the Ulsan area, one new confirmed case occurred on this day in relation to the’Buk-gu Hero Spa’. As a result, the number of confirmed patients in Ulsan area related to sauna increased to 44.
In the Gyeongbuk region, a vice-principal working at an elementary school in Gumi City was confirmed on this day. It is expected that the quarantine authorities will expand the test targets by contacting not only the elementary school teacher, but also Shin Dong-sik, the superintendent of the Gumi Education Support Office.
Due to close contact between acquaintances and co-workers, 8 new confirmed cases occurred a day in the Gangwon area. There are 2 in Wonju, 2 in Sokcho, 1 in Chuncheon, 1 in Gangneung, 1 in Donghae, and 1 in Pyeongchang.
In Busan, a total of four new confirmed cases occurred, and one confirmed related to the’Busan Joint Fish Market’. As a result, the cumulative number of related confirmed cases increased to 19.
In the Chungbuk region, one Cheongju citizen and a Jincheon foreign worker each received a positive test on this day.
Accordingly, the quarantine authorities are inspecting each of the families of the confirmed patients in Cheongju and chicken processing companies with 45 confirmed cases by the day before.

In the Gyeonggi area, in most cases, the path of infection has not been identified because either infection is caused by close contact or epidemiological investigations have not yet been conducted.
In the Incheon area, there was no impact from the existing group infection on this day. By district, there were 3 Namdong-gu, 3 Bupyeong-gu, 3 Seo-gu, 2 Michuhol-gu, 1 Yeonsu-gu, 1 Gyeyang-gu, and 1 Jung-gu.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun on that day declared a special period for the metropolitan area to reduce the number of confirmed cases to 200 per day for the next two weeks, and a special period for compliance with quarantine regulations in the non-metropolitan area.
The metropolitan area is a willingness to block the embers of the 4th epidemic in advance by intensive inspection of multi-use facilities and workplaces with many foreign workers.
Earlier on the 12th, the government decided to extend the current social distancing for another two weeks from the 15th and keep the ban on private gatherings with more than 5 people as it is.
