BTS’ V’s fandom commemorates the’Grammy Awards’ nomination and supports V with a TV commercial to celebrate the performance.
BTS will be nominated for the 2021 Grammy Awards Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category with their digital single’Dynamite’ and will perform at the 63rd Grammy Awards, which will be broadcast live on the 15th.
V’s fan page’Nunabi’ and China’s fandom’Baidu Viva’ announced that they will be conducting TV commercials for a total of 10 times, twice on the main broadcast and eight times on reruns at Mnet, where the Grammy Awards are broadcast live. For this advertisement, V’s Korean fandom prepared for the advertisement, and NuNavi and Baidu Vuba donated a portion of the advertisement cost.
This TV advertisement includes advertisements in the middle of the program with the highest advertisement cost. Because of the high advertising costs, advertisements sent out in the middle of the program are mainly corporate advertisements.
Even in June, the 7th anniversary of V’s debut, Baidu Viva posted a TV commercial on KBS 2TV’Music Bank’, MBC’Music Center’, and SBS’Inkigayo’, which are music broadcasting programs of 3 public broadcasting companies, and in August at JTBC. V’s personal TV commercial was also sent out in the first eight episodes of’In the Forest’, which was broadcasted.

According to an announcement by the International Music Record Industry Association (IFPI), BTS has the album’Map of the Soul: 7’on the global album sales chart in 2020, and’BE’ is the 2nd place, and the Japanese regular 4th album’MAP OF THE SOUL’ : 7 ~ THE JOURNEY ~’also ranked 8th, and all three albums released last year entered the chart.
Baidu Viva purchased 230,000 copies of’MAP OF THE SOUL: 7’in 2020 and 170,000 copies of’MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA’ in 2019, breaking the record for the highest purchase in the entire K-pop fan club.
‘MAP OF THE SOUL: 7’topped the real album with the sales of 646,000 copies in the United States. The albums bought by Baidu Viva were equivalent to one-third of the total sales in the United States, giving a real sense of the power of the powerful fan economy.
V’s Chinese fandom is famous for showing off his powerful fan power and sending strong support to V’s activities. Last year, V’s birthday fundraising amounted to 1.12 billion won as of August, recording the highest amount ever in the K-pop fan club.
On V’s birthday on December 30th, the world’s tallest LED lighting show was held in the world’s tallest’Bourj Khalifa’ building, which surprised the world. V’s birthday celebration parade held at landmarks around the world attracted a great deal of attention to the extent that it was highlighted on the Japanese TV Tokyo news program.
