I got billions of loans and speculated… “I’ll take a look” and the back book

LH employees received a loan of 5.8 billion won to buy a land of 10 billion won, and this huge loan was available at only one branch of North Siheung Nonghyup.

The government decided to investigate whether there is any problem with the loans that made speculation possible and revise the system, but criticism comes out that it is a rear book.

Reporter Seo Yoo-jeong reports.

Land of 10 billion won in Gwangmyeong and Siheung new towns, bought by LH employees.

All 10 employees borrowed money from one of North Siheung Nonghyup.

Only the loan is 5.8 billion won.

Regional-level agricultural cooperatives are more than twice as expensive as commercial banks.

But I could borrow a lot of money at once.

“If you open one place, you keep doing it there. They don’t have interest rates. The limit was an issue, and they found a place to lend them.”

Large-scale loans inevitably accompanied by land speculation.

The government ordered a thorough investigation.

“I would like the Financial Supervisory Service and other supervisory agencies to thoroughly investigate the process.”

Finance Commissioner Eun Seong-soo said, “There has been little interest in the second financial sector and land loans, but there are problems, so I will look at them.”

The government recently reduced housing mortgage loans and credit loans from one financial sector, that is, commercial banks, saying that it will settle house prices, which means that it will also regulate the second financial sector.

“General commercial banks are tricky with loans secured to farmland. If the amount is large, it has to be reviewed at the head office. But the regional nonghyup can handle it there because the final decision is held by the branch manager. Even if there is a problem, There were a lot of loosely applied aspects.”

Like this LH incident, large-scale loans backed by farmland are likely to be speculative purposes.

The government’s countermeasures appear to be one step behind the speculators again this time.
