LH “Working with the principle of zero tolerance”

[천지일보=유영선 기자] The moral hazard of the employees was on the cutting board due to the suspicion of speculation in the 3rd new town of the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), and an LH employee, who had been working as a land auction instructor on an Internet paid site, was dismissed.

LH announced on the 11th that it had held a disciplinary personnel committee and had dismissed Mr. Oh, a member of the Uijeongbu project group at the Seoul regional headquarters.

LH announced that it conducted a wide range of investigations, including face-to-face investigations and data investigations, to confirm the misconduct of Mr. Oh, such as receipt of compensation for profit and violation of restrictions on concurrent employment, and proceeded with disciplinary procedures.

Earlier, it was discovered that Mr. Oh worked as a real estate instructor at a paid site while working for the Uijeongbu Project Group at the Seoul Regional Headquarters. The contents of the lecture were land auctions and auctions that were directly connected to the LH project. It has been under internal audit since the end of January, when it was caught.

Mr. Oh, who joined the company in the mid-2000s, was once in charge of land compensation. Mr. Oh promoted himself as’Korea’s No. 1 Land Lecturer’ and’Land Auction/Auction 1 Hit (No. 1 Sales) Lecturer’, hiding his real name on the Internet.

According to LH, Mr. Oh did not report concurrent positions within the company when he was working as a lecturer. This is because the LH company regulations strictly prohibits concurrent employment in other profit-making activities.

When the case of Mr. Oh became known, criticism arose that employees of public corporations encouraged speculation while doing commercial activities as a side job.

LH said, “This is an obvious case of violation of the prohibition of concurrent employment.”
