[전국]Complete inspection of Jinbu-myeon, Pyeongchang…Sporadic group infections in Busan and Ulsan

About 8,000 residents are undergoing full inspection in Jinbu-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do, where the Corona 19 chain infection occurred.

There is also high tension outside the metropolitan area, with sporadic infections continuing in many places such as Busan and Ulsan.

Let’s start with the situation in Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do. All the residents of Jinbu-myeon are being tested for Corona 19?

In Gangwon-do, the survey of all residents at the Myeon unit was the second after a serial infection at Yongpyeong Ski Resort in December of last year.

The quarantine authorities are currently expanding a temporary screening clinic in Jinbu-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, and conducting full inspections through drive-through methods.

About 4,000 households, approximately 8,700 people, are subject to the test.

Although the exact route of infection is still being identified, it has been revealed that the confirmed and residents of Seoul, Sejong, and Gangneung areas each contacted before the spread of the region.

In particular, in the case of a family in contact with a confirmed patient who visited a hospital in Seoul, 9 members of the family, from a one-year-old child to a great-grandparent in their 80s, were infected at once.

In Jinbu-myeon, Pyeongchang, 38 confirmed cases occurred in two days.

Depending on the progress of the thorough examination, the number of confirmed cases may increase.

In this regard, local quarantine authorities have taken intensive measures.

The Pyeongchang-gun Health and Medical Center, Jinbu-myeon Office, Jinbu Police Box, and Jinbu Library were temporarily closed.

The Senior Citizens’ Hall and the Cultural Center, where the elderly gathered, were also closed.

In addition, the Gangwon-do Office of Education stopped attending students at all schools in Jinbu-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun until tomorrow and switched to remote classes.

In Busan, group infections occurred in various places such as the common fish market and Gamcheon Port, right?

First, let’s look at the situation of the Busan common fish market.

The quarantine authorities are investigating over 1,500 people, including joint fish market members and temporary members.

In this market, more than 30% of Korean coastal marine products are distributed.

As it is a busy place, it is said that it is not easy to keep a distance, such as sorting and arranging fish in a dense space or sharing a small lounge with a group.

As there were many confirmed cases and self-quarantine, the joint fish market was once interrupted by auctions and disrupted operations.

Additional confirmed cases were also found in nearby Gamcheon Port.

As a result of the inspection of about 300 people, including the port transport union members who are carrying out unloading operations, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Gamcheon Port was 16, including 11 employees and 5 contacts.

The quarantine authorities are conducting an epidemiological investigation to determine the link between the common fish market and the Gamcheon Port outbreak.

In addition, at Samyuk Busan Hospital in Seo-gu, Busan, where a group infection was previously confirmed, two acquaintances who ate with a previously confirmed guardian and one hospitalized patient were infected.

Including two families of confirmed employees residing in Ulsan, there are a total of 17 confirmed cases.

Sauna feet spread in Ulsan as well?

The route of infection varies, including not only sauna visitors, but also customers who used convenience stores in the same building, and cases of infection to other confirmed patients.

Since the first confirmed on the 7th, 46 people have been confirmed so far.

The problem is that the sauna foot spread has spread to schools that have just opened.

Among the confirmed cases of sauna foot, eight students and one caring instructor were included.

There were confirmed cases from 9 schools, of which 7 are in Buk-gu with saunas.

Accordingly, the Ulsan City Office of Education converted 6 out of 9 schools with confirmed cases to total distance classes.

In the remaining three, only some grades entered remote classes.
