According to the MBC report that day, Vice Chairman Lee is suspected of illegally administering propofol at a plastic surgery clinic in Seoul last year. The police reported that last month, Vice Chairman Lee went to the Seoul detention center to collect hair.

Vice-Chairman Lee received similar suspicions earlier last year. In January of last year, the National Rights Commission requested a public prosecutor to investigate after receiving a public interest report that Vice-Chairman Lee had routinely administered Propofol at a plastic surgery clinic in Seoul.

At the time, Vice-Chairman Lee denied the charges, saying, “(Vice-Chairman Lee) received treatment in the past in accordance with the doctor’s professional opinion, and since then, because of personal circumstances, I have inevitable visited medical treatment, but illegal medication is not true at all.

At the same time, he applied for a convocation of the Prosecutors’ Investigation Review Committee. Whether to hold the deliberation committee is expected to be decided on the 11th.

Meanwhile, Vice-Chairman Lee is sentenced to two years and six months in prison at a repatriation trial for the destruction of the’Gukjeong Nongdan Case’ in January and is serving in a Seoul detention center. The Seoul Central District Court will open a second trial preparation date for Vice Chairman Lee and Samsung Group officials who have been handed over to trial on charges of violating the Capital Market and Financial Investment Business Act at 2 pm on the 11th.
