“LH employees who are dumping the land, do not receive proper compensation”

[이데일리 김성훈 기자] It is expected that LH employees who have invested in this area will not receive proper compensation, while there is still confusion over the allegations of speculation in the new cities of Gwangmyeong and Siheung by the employees of Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH).

Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Byun Chang-heum said in the National Assembly’s National Land Transportation Committee’s pending report on the 9th, when Rep. Song Eon-seok pointed out the problem of receiving negotiated transferable land for LH employees invested in Gwangmyeong and Siheung. It is possible enough to exclude residential land, etc.,” he said.

Following Secretary Byun, LH President Chung-mo Jang said, “If it is determined that the current bylaws had the purpose of speculation, the provision of housing land can be excluded at the discretion of the implementer.”

Hyeop-eui-transferred land is a detached housing site that is given priority when a landlord with 1,000m2 of land pays for land compensation. Migrant residential land is a commercial housing land supplied to the natives who had their homes.

Some LH employees who have invested in Gwangmyeong and Siheung divide their shares into 1,000 square meters and meet the requirement to apply for a housing site that is negotiated transfer.

Rep. Song said, “They originally had 3 parcels of 5000 m² and then divided them into 5 parcels of 1000 m². At the time, the enforcement ordinance of the Act was revised to provide the right to sell apartments by improving the negotiated transferable land system. Didn’t he split his stake to get the right to sell the apartment?” In response, Minister Byeon said, “If you know the revision of internal laws and make investments, it is a serious problem.”

Rep. Song said, “The negotiated transferable residential land or immigrant residential land should be supplied to the natives, and foreigners should be excluded”. Minister Byeon replied “a good opinion.”
