L City turned over in Busan… Another list of lawmakers’ prosecutors came out.

Suspicion of the preferential sale of Haeundae L-City (LCT), Busan’s highest-priced apartment and residence with a market price of 5 billion won, arose again. In 2017, civic groups filed a complaint with the prosecution, and this time, a list with the names of about 100 people has been submitted to the police, and the wave is growing.

According to the Busan Police Agency on the 9th, a petition that there was a list for the sale of preferential L-City was received, confirming the facts. It is known that the petition included incumbent lawmakers, former ministers and prosecutors, chiefs of courts, and famous businessmen. The gist of the truth is that the pre-sale quantity was subtracted before the normal pre-sale procedure for such a specific person.

As a result of the Maeil Economic Daily reporter’s contact with an official who filed a complaint with the police station, it was confirmed that a list with the names of former ministers and famous businessmen on it existed. This official insisted, “L City side claimed that it was unsold at the time, but it was predominantly sold to them before the third sale.”

In response, the Busan District Prosecutor’s Office said, “The list of the so-called L-City pre-sale is data that has not been secured during the prosecution’s investigation.” “It does not include former ministers, prosecutors and high-ranking officials.” In 2017, the Busan Participation Solidarity and others filed a suspicion that L-City owner Lee Young-bok used the L-City pre-sale right as a lobbying means and accused the prosecution of 43 people.

The controversy over preferential pre-sale has spread to a political battle and is emerging as an issue of the Busan Mayor’s pre-election.

Rep. Seo Byeong-soo said, “The Moon Jae-in administration brought up another incident in the past of the preferential sale of L-City to cover land speculation and corruption by the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH).” “It was the trick of the ruling power to get on.”

Ha Tae-kyung, chairman of the Busan City Party, said, “As a result of checking while responding to an attack that links the power of the people with the sale of preferential L-City, it has nothing to do with the people’s power politicians active in Busan.”
