As the spread of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) in Korea continued, there were confirmed cases across the country on the 8th.

According to the quarantine authorities and local governments such as the Seoul Metropolitan Government, a total of 334 new confirmed cases were confirmed nationwide from 0 a.m. to 6 p.m. on that day.

84 more than the 250 counted at the same time the day before.

In the area where confirmed cases were found, 235 (70.4%) in the metropolitan area and 99 (29.6%) in the non-metropolitan area.

By city and province, Gyeonggi 141, Seoul 74, Gwangju 32, Incheon 20, Chungbuk 14, Busan 12, Gangwon and Chungnam 11 each, Ulsan 7, Daegu 3, Jeonbuk, Jeonnam, and Jeju 2 each, Daejeon, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam are each one.

Of the 17 trials nationwide, there have been no confirmed cases in Sejong.

As there is still time until midnight, when the count is closed, the number of new confirmed cases to be announced as of 0 o’clock on the 9th is expected to increase to around 400.

The previous day, by midnight, 96 people increased to 346 people.

The number of new confirmed patients showed a gradual decline this year, but immediately after the Lunar New Year holidays (2.11-14), the number of new confirmed patients increased to 600 levels due to the aftermath of group infection, and has recently dropped to the 300-400 level.

In the last week (3.2 to 8), the number of new confirmed patients per day recorded 344 → 444 → 424 → 398 → 418 → 416 → 346, an average of 399 per day.

Among them, about 381 confirmed cases of local outbreaks per week, a key indicator of the adjustment of the’social distancing’ stage, are maintained within the range of the second stage of distancing (more than 300 people nationwide).

However, as daily infections such as workplaces, hospitals, and bowling alleys continue, and as a group outbreak has been confirmed in schools, there are concerns that the spread of the disease may become stronger anytime.

In a major case, 50 people have been confirmed so far in relation to the livestock market in Anseong-si, Gyeonggi Province, and 15 students at one high school in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, and four at one high school in Jeju, respectively.

In addition, in a case of a general hospital in Seo-gu, Busan, 7 people, including patients and workers, were infected, and 6 people were confirmed in relation to the bowling alley in Jeju City.
