U.S. President Joe Biden welcomed Pope Francis’ visit to Iraq on the 8th (local time) with an important message on fraternity and peace.
According to Reuters, President Biden prayed in Mosul, a city where the Pope, who visited an ancient religious site on this day, visited Najaf to meet with Islamic Shiite leader Ayatollah Ali Alsistani. It sent a message saying that seeing what they do is a symbol of hope for the whole world.
Earlier, the 84-year-old Pope ended his visit to Iraq safely despite concerns about security and the corona19 virus.
