◇ Korea Polytechnic University was appointed a former research professor at Korea University Labor Research Institute, Cho Jae-hee, as the new chairman of the board on the 7th. During the Roh Moo-hyun administration, the new Chairman Cho served as a secretary for policy management and government affairs at the Blue House, as well as a research professor and a permanent research fellow at the Korea University Labor Research Institute for the current government. He graduated from the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy at Korea University and received a master’s degree in comparative politics and a doctorate in labor politics from the same graduate school. Inauguration ceremony on the 8th, term of office is 3 years. ◇ On the 7th, Hyundai Motor Group presented its sustainability management promotional material at the’Mercury Awards’, one of the world’s three major promotional material contests, and received the Gold Prize, the grand prize. The Mercury Awards is a global promotional material awards ceremony organized by Mercom in the United States to select winners in 20 categories.

◇ The Beautiful Youth Jeon Tae-il Memorial Hall (Director Suho Lee) will perform a production performance in commemoration of the 50th birthday of Jeon Tae-il’s death from the 19th to the 25th. Directing and dramatization were directed by director Tae-hyung Kim and writer Yang-koo Lee, and borrowing from the synopsis of a novel written by Tae-il Jeon, he faces the story of his departure and the reality of today’s labor. ◇ The Korea Foundation for International Affairs (Chairman, Geun Lee) started the spring semester of this year at Sheffield University in the UK at’Learn! The’KF e-School Korean Language Course’ was opened using the textbook of’KOREAN with BTS’. It is the first in the UK to be opened last year, following Middlebury College in the US, Higher Normal University in France, Thang Long University in Vietnam, and Ein Shams University in Egypt. This year, it plans to install courses in 11 universities in 8 countries including the United States, Japan, and Vietnam. ◇ The International Federation of Red Cross Associations (IFRC) reported on the 6th ’12 Months of Corona 19 Outbreak’ report, which was 700 million won, including one gene amplification machine, 200 sets of protective clothing, and 70 infrared thermometers in response to North Korea’s Corona 19 for one year from January last year.
