Lee Westwood (England) took the lead in the third round of the American Professional Golf (PGA) Tour Arnold Palmer Invitational (total prize pool of $9.3 million).
Westwood tied 1 eagle, 8 birdies and 3 bogies in the 3rd round of the 3rd day of the tournament held at Bayhill C&L (par 72, 7,454 yards) in Orlando, Florida, USA on the 7th (Korean time), and scored 7 under par 65 strokes. Hit.
With a total of 11 under par 205 strokes on three days, Westwood jumped from 11th place the previous day to the sole lead.
Westwood, a 48-year-old veteran this year, won 25 victories on the European Tour, but twice on the PGA Tour.
If you win this competition, it will be your third win on the PGA Tour in 10 years and 9 months after the St. Jude Classic in June 2010.
Bryson Dishambo (USA) and Corey Connors (Canada) are pursuing Westwood in a tie for second place with a 10 under par with 206 strokes.
DeChambo shot across the lake on the 6th hole (par 5) set at 531 yards on the day.
This hole is curved to the left along the lake, so if you take a tee shot toward the fairway it will be 530 to 555 yards away, but if you shoot directly toward the green, you will have to spend about 345 yards.
DeChambo, who announced his intention to target the green with a tee shot during the practice round, went back to the fairway in the first and second rounds, but on this day he turned directly to the green.
However, the shot was aimed a little closer to the right than the green, and the ball reached 347 yards in flying distance and 370 yards in rolled distance after landing.
When swinging, the club head speed was 220 km per hour and the ball speed was 315 km per hour. DeChambo, who sent the ball 70 yards away, ended the hole with a birdie.
Jordan Spies and Keegan Bradley (above the United States) are tied for fourth with 207 strokes at 9 under par.
Spice scored a hole-in-one on the second hole (par 3) at 222 yards. He abstained from back pain after Justin Rose (England), who was playing with him, finished the third hole, and since then, he played the third round alone.
Lim Seong-jae (23), who was in 7th place until the 2nd round, swapped 3 buddies and 3 bogies on this day, with a total of 5 under par 211 strokes in the 3rd round, and the ranking was moved to 18th place.
Im Seong-jae made a good grade in this competition, ranking third in the last two years in a row.
Korean-American player Doug Kim (USA) finished the third round with a 7-under par 209 hitting a tie for 7th place with Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland).
