Charlotte Bennett, 25, one of the women who revealed that she had been sexually harassed by Democratic New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, appeared on the news broadcast on the 4th (local time) to specifically reveal what happened at the time of the incident.
According to CNN, Bennett appeared on CBS Evening News and said, “I thought that Cuomo wants to have a bed with me, such as saying that I can meet if I am 22 years or older.”
He said, “If a woman is over 22, she doesn’t care about her age, and she said she’s looking for a girlfriend because she’s tired and hard at the moment.” Cuomo and Bennett are 38 years old.
“At the time, Cuomo didn’t say that he would definitely sleep,” he said. “Kuomo asked me if my experience of being sexually assaulted as a child had a physical relationship with someone.
Bennett spoke with him and said that he felt offended by the feeling that Cuomo was asking him to have sex. When these conversations came and went between the two, the entire United States was suffering from a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).
He said to the anchor’s question,’How did you cope with Cuomo’s question?’ “Because Cuomo was my boss, I was pressured to answer, so I had to answer honestly.”
Bennett confessed, “People tell women that they have a responsibility to end this conversation. “I guess this happened because I answered Cuomo’s question, but in fact, as a victim, I was afraid of the situation.”
Cuomo held a press conference on the 3rd and apologized for the first time, saying, “Honestly, I’m embarrassed,” saying, “I knew I’ve made someone uncomfortable so far.”
However, Bennett’s lawyer Debra Katz pointed out that he did not mention Bennett’s name in Cuomo’s apology and accused him of “this press conference is full of lies and inaccurate information.”
Bennett also criticized Cuomo’s press conference on TV, saying, “This is not an apology,” and “He was molesting me, but he didn’t even mention my name.”
Meanwhile, Bennett became the second woman to raise suspicions of sexual harassment against Cuomo by revealing the damages in an interview with the New York Times on the 27th of last month.
Previously, former aide Lindsay Boyan, 36, revealed in 2018 that Cuomo forcibly kissed him in the office.
