Providing professional health care big data in a people-friendly way
On March 4, the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (Director Sun-min Kim, hereinafter referred to as “the Review and Assessment Service”) will launch the “public-centered intelligent health care big data visualization service” (hereinafter, “data visualization service”).

The Big Data Visualization Service is a public-friendly big data provision system that allows people to intuitively search for desired health care information to obtain visualized information, and to analyze data from various perspectives.
The advantage of this service is that users can easily obtain the information they want, even if they do not have expertise in health care information.
Aggregated statistical values are described as stories, and information is conveyed in a readable way using graphs. In the case of unpaid medical service information, it is also provided based on a map to increase accessibility.
Users can accurately and easily search for information on diseases and medical treatments (examinations, procedures, etc.) they are curious about by using the automatic word completion function, and by setting detailed conditions such as gender, age, region, and diseases that occur together (co-injury). The number of patients and medical expenses related to diseases and treatment activities can be analyzed in relation to each other.

The Big Data Visualization Service* can be accessed through the website of the Review and Assessment Service** and the Health and Medical Big Data Opening System***, and can also be used on mobile.
