According to reports from countries around the world that first started vaccination, 1893360 people in the United States received the Pfizer vaccine as of December 23rd last year, of which 0.1% or 4393 cases of adverse reactions were reported. Severe adverse reactions were reported in 175 cases, or 0.005%. Anaphylaxis reaction (in vivo hypersensitivity reaction caused by antigen-antibody reaction) occurred in 21 cases in 0.0005%.

In Germany, 2,432,766 people received the Pfizer vaccine, of which 0.12% or 2717 adverse reactions were reported. There were 337 serious adverse reactions, 0.014%, and there was no data related to anaphylaxis.

Pfizer vaccination is also being done in Norway, Canada and France. Although the exact number of vaccinations has not yet been released, the rate of reporting adverse reactions was about 0.06% to 0.12%.

In Israel, which has the fastest vaccination rate in the world, less than 0.3% of people received the Pfizer vaccine and reported adverse reactions. Of the adverse reactions reported after the first dose in Israel, about 50% were pain in the arm area, and 41% felt a mild feeling, indicating that they were not feeling well. In the case of the second inoculation, 22% complained of pain in the arm and 77% complained of feeling unwell. Neurological sequelae was reported in 287 cases for the first vaccination and 96 cases for the second vaccination. Allergic reactions including anaphylaxis were 165 cases after the first vaccination and 47 cases after the second vaccination. Other adverse reactions were 60 cases after the first inoculation and 19 cases after the second inoculation.

According to data from clinical trials related to emergency approval of Pfizer’s vaccine in the U.S. and UK, released by the quarantine authorities in January, the most common adverse reaction was pain at the vaccination site (84.1%) as a result of observing 43,448 participants in clinical trials over 16 years old. Then, fatigue (62.9%), headache (55.1%), muscle pain (38.3%), chills (31.9%), and joint pain (23.6%) were followed.
