Let’s connect reporters and listen to the details. Reporter Lee Jong-won!
Pfizer’s vaccine is being administered for the first time at the Central Vaccination Center today?
[기자]
Yes, Pfizer vaccination is in progress from 9 am at the Central Vaccination Center at the National Medical Center.
Including 199 workers at the National Medical Center, 300 corona19 medical staff in the metropolitan area are eligible for vaccination.
Pfizer vaccine stored at cryogenic temperatures can only be inoculated after separate defrosting and then dilution.
It is reported that the National Medical Center had finalized the necessary equipment such as diluents and syringes before the first vaccination and until late yesterday.
On-site today, medical staff from vaccination centers for each region who are about to be vaccinated will also be present to observe the vaccination process and receive training.

So when will Pfizer vaccinations begin at other vaccination centers?
[기자]
Yes, the Pfizer vaccine that came into Korea yesterday is a vaccine supplied by Cobax Facility, an international vaccine supply project.
Immediately after arriving at the airport, they were escorted by the police and delivered not only to the National Medical Center, but also to vaccination centers in different regions such as Chungcheong, Yeongnam and Honam.
However, vaccinations are given only at the National Medical Center today, and vaccination centers by region start from the 3rd of the following month.
In addition, in medical institutions with more than 120 patients and medical staff, self-inoculation can be administered.
From the 8th of next month, Pfizer vaccines will be delivered to 82 in-house vaccination centers.
The health authorities plan to complete the first vaccination by the 20th of the following month and complete the second vaccination around April 10th, three weeks later.
However, the Pfizer vaccine that came in yesterday is only 58,000 out of the 10 million government contracts.
500,000 people are expected to arrive at the end of next month, so full-fledged Pfizer vaccination is expected to begin around April.
