Inadequate remarks such as pointing out the appearance of employees

[아시아경제 강주희 기자] It was argued that the head of a center for a women and family welfare center in Seoul operated by local governments condemned women and the disabled.
According to a KBS report on the 25th, employees working at the Women’s Family Welfare Center claimed that Mr. A, who was appointed in 2017, made inappropriate remarks, such as pointing out the appearances of employees or demeaning the disabled. The welfare center is a place that conducts business such as child care and family counseling.
In the transcripts released by employees, Mr. A made a statement pointing out the employee’s appearance, such as “It looks like that from birth like OOO, and then I don’t say it.”
Also, “OOO teacher asked me to be cute,’What should I buy for?’ I even ordered employees to secure a budget with femininity, such as “Please ask.”
According to the staff working at the center, Mr. A depreciated or prejudiced women, such as,’I think our employees didn’t marry’,’Isn’t it because mothers who have nothing to do for brunch send their kids to school and eat breakfast?’ He also made a remark that revealed.
Employee B said, “(Mr. A) wrote a broken pen and said,’Please bring me something good, not such a handicapped pen.'”
In the past, Mr. A said that he had to have three women: “a man is a woman who will walk the trail, a woman at home, and a woman who will sleep together.”
It was found that about 50 employees left the company during the four years in which Mr. A was the head of the center.
Meanwhile, the local government announced that it is currently conducting an investigation into the case by placing Mr. A on standby and appointing a labor firm.
