Hwang In-hye, a nursing care worker born in 1965, was the first to receive a new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) vaccination in Seongdong-gu, Seoul.

After the vaccination, Hwang (56) said, “From the standpoint of caring for the elderly, I was always worried about causing damage to the surroundings.”

He said, “I don’t have any worries about the side effects of the vaccine,” he said and expected, “I hope that I can do nothing after vaccination.”

Starting with Mr. Hwang, 10 nursing care workers at the Iam Nursing Home (located in Sangwangsim-ri, Seongdong-gu) were vaccinated sequentially from 10 am on the day.

Those waiting in the lobby of the Seongdong-gu health center headed to the 4th floor where the inoculation room was located at 10 am. Hwang, the first inoculation, looked dull. Upon arrival, the body temperature was measured, health status was checked, and vaccination instructions were received.

Hwang took an injection in the shoulder at 10:4 and then measured his blood pressure in the waiting room to check for any adverse reactions. After a brief interview with the reporters, I took a break.

On this day, Seongdong-gu divided 10 nursing care workers into 2 teams of 5 each, and vaccinated them at 10 and 10:30 respectively. This is to check whether there are side effects such as adverse reactions by taking an injection by one team and taking a break for 30 minutes each.

After Hwang’s vaccination, other nursing caregivers also received injections in order and entered the waiting room. Hwang, who came out of the waiting room at 10:36 after taking a break for about 30 minutes, replied, “There is nothing wrong.”

Mr. Hwang was selected as the first candidate for vaccination in Seongdong-gu because he was the best member of the Iam Nursing Home and showed active will to vaccination. Hwang also said, “Because I’m dealing with the elderly, I thought I should get the vaccine first.”

By next month, the city will be vaccinated against 265 people in 3 nursing hospitals and 221 people in 3 nursing homes in the area, a total of 486 people.
