Public Officials Ethics Committee discloses property registrations of 59 high-ranking public officials
The lowest rank is Kim Seong-joon, head of the Ministry of National Defense’s Human Resources and Welfare Office: 1.849,000

The Government Officials Ethics Committee published the property registration information of 59 publicly disclosed property in February 26 in the official gazette.

These are senior officials who were appointed or retired between November 2nd and December 1st.

Among the incumbent, Son Hyuk-sang, chairman of the Korea International Cooperation Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, had the largest reported property at 48.82 billion won.

This was followed by Lee Hee-seop, Consul-General of the Consulate-General of the Republic of Korea in Fukuoka (3.69.35 million won) from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Young-geun Ahn, Director of Chonnam National University Hospital of the Ministry of Education (34.499.3 million won).

On the other hand, Kim Seong-joon, head of the Ministry of Defense’s Personnel Welfare Office, reported a property of 1.489,000 won, ranking the lowest.

Kim reported real estate worth 278.5 million won, such as apartments in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do, and deposits of 141588,000 won, all of which amounted to 42,6318,000 won, but the financial debt amounted to 42,4829,000 won.

Lee Sang-soo, the special and special ambassador of the Libyan embassy in Libya, also reported a property worth 671 million won, the second lowest among the incumbent.

Ambassador Lee also owns an apartment worth 96 million won and a deposit of 14,457 million won in Deokpo-dong, Sasang-gu, Busan, but the bank debt amounted to 167 million won.

Among the retirees, Lee Eui-kyung, former Minister of Food and Drug Safety, was the highest at 8,161.65 million won, followed by Park Seon-ho, former Vice Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (3,511.8 million won), and Jeong Seong-woong, former deputy chief of the Financial Supervisory Service (3.42372 million won).
