Coupang delivered an iron plate to a customer who ordered a MacBook for 5.45 million won.
According to an article posted on an online community on the 25th, Mr. A paid 5445,000 won at Coupang on the 15th to purchase Apple’s MacBook Pro and received the iron plate.
Mr. A wrote, “From the box to the packaging (the new product) is the same, so I opened it without any doubt.”
Prior to this, Coupang was reported to have purchased two MacBook Pros, repackaged the product, and recognized the returned product as a new product and sold it again. The company is reported to be considering legal action against Mr. B as an intentional criminal act that abused the bapum and refund policy.
However, among consumers, there is growing anxiety about Coupang’s inspection and sales process. Even if the returned product appeared to be unopened, the buyer had to be informed that it was a returned product. This is because, when Coupang sells the product, the product status is notified by’new product’,’used product’,’box damage’, and’reaper’, but there was no explanation that this product was returned.
Moreover, the product in question is a’rocket delivery’ product that directly purchases and sells Coupang products, as well as a’C. Avenue’ product that Coupang advertises as a carefully selected brand product, which raises consumer distrust.
Coupang’s policy is to immediately refund the products purchased by Mr. A and try to prevent recurrence.
