Former director Park Yong-hak, who led the ABC Association’s internal complaint of incidental distortion last year, was fired on the 31st of last month after receiving a waiting order after the complaint. It is known as the reason for the dismissal that it failed to recover 300 million won out of the 600 million won in the operation of the ABC Association invested in the Optimus Fund. I plan to apply for relief from unfair dismissal.
Former Director Park began speaking, saying, “As a member of the ABC Association, I don’t know how to put my body and I am ashamed.”
He said that the sincerity rate of more than 90% of the number of copies issued is close to impossible in the process of operating the newspaper. According to former Director Park, the bureau requests and receives 5% more extra copies than the number of deliveries for purposes such as holding business. Also, in case of a delivery accident or expansion of the number of copies, the number of extra copies increases. Former Director Park said, “About 20% of the parts naturally exit.”
In November of last year, former Director Park read an internal complaint received by members of the ABC Association to the Media Policy Division of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Former Director Park said that the ABC Association has assigned construction workers in charge of subsidiary work to the level of importance of the work and replaced sample stations at random.
Director Park Jeon said, “If you do not allocate construction workers according to the importance of work, you will be suspicious of the results as well as equity. However, appropriate and qualified construction workers were assigned to constructions of less importance, and those who did not were assigned to subsidiary constructions of high importance, resulting in distortion of the results. This phenomenon has intensified especially over the past two years.”
Director Park Jeon said, “When replacing the sampling station in the past, I informed the construction staff and shared the reasons. However, over the past two to three years, the construction worker has not been aware of the number and reason for the replacement of newspapers. “It has become a routine for the construction worker in charge to check the construction schedule later than the newspaper staff.”
Director Park Jeon also said that incidental distortions were made through correction data after the investigation. He said, “The subject of submitting correction data is the newspaper company, and the relevant construction worker should discuss the correction data to decide whether to accept the correction data. I said. In the case of B newspaper, the branch office’s sincerity rate rose from 93% to 94.73% as a revised data. Director Park Jeon said, “In the end, the association has steadily announced the results of construction that cannot occur in the real world.”
Director Park Jeon said, “The construction results for the past five years have lost credibility and the process is opaque, making it impossible to convince as a member.” .
