Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do held a’Youth Debate’ with about 50 young people representing the region in the assembly room of the county office on the afternoon of the 24th.

This debate was set up to freely propose a novel youth policy that embodies the wishes of Gochang youth in the long-term comprehensive development plan being carried out by Gochang-gun.

The event was attended by members of local youth groups such as Gochang County, Gochang Youth Chamber, Love Hyang Youth Association, Youth Venture Research Group, and Gochang 4H Association to listen to the concerns of young people and to increase understanding and sympathy for youth policy by collecting policy proposals. .

As the main policies suggested by the young people on this day, new proposals were poured out, highlighting the sparkling imaginations of young people, such as △creating youth jobs, △creating a space for youth culture and arts hubs, △supporting youth transportation expenses, and developing youth activists.

Gochang-gun said, “In the age of population cliffs, Gochang is gathering young people through various support projects and raising youth’s dreams. Based on this proposal, we will increase youth jobs and raise sedentary awareness, making Gochang-gun a youth-friendly city. I will.”

On the other hand, Gochang-gun will review the feasibility of the policy proposals issued at the event and include it in the Gochang-gun long-term comprehensive development plan and use it as policy data to open Gochang in the future.
