It is said that the final vaccine production may differ from the target value depending on the production yield (the ratio of product production to input of raw materials).

The full-fledged vaccination begins at 9 am on the 26th, Friday. The number of targets who wish to receive vaccination so far has been 184,659 people in nursing homes, 10,2612 people in nursing homes, mental care and rehabilitation facilities, and a total of 289,000 people. These are workers and residents under the age of 65, accounting for 93.6% of all vaccination targets. However, the final vaccination rate may vary if vaccination is delayed or when vaccination is not possible due to circumstances.

Vaccination is performed in the order of pre-diagnosis → vaccination → observation after vaccination after checking the physical condition of the person to be vaccinated.

Prior to vaccination, the doctor will carefully examine whether the patient has ever experienced a severe allergic reaction,’anaphylaxis’, has a fever of 37.5 degrees or higher, or has no symptoms such as coughing or sore throat. The vaccinator should check for adverse reactions without leaving for 15-30 minutes after receiving the vaccine.

In nursing hospitals where doctors reside, you can get the vaccine directly in the hospital. On the other hand, in nursing homes for the elderly and mental rehabilitation facilities where doctors do not reside, the health center visit team or a doctor who has contracted with the facility will visit the facility in person and inoculate it according to a fixed schedule. The health center visit team consists of 1 doctor, 1 nurse, and 2 administrative personnel.

The ‘1 vaccination person’ is expected to come out of nursing hospitals and facilities according to the original policy. In a briefing the previous day, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) chief said, “Although it means’No. 1 vaccination,’ both workers and residents of (nursing hospitals or nursing) facilities are eligible for the first vaccination.”
