The first supply site was disclosed in accordance with the procedure of predicting 250,000 households to supply new housing sites in the last two and four measures. The specific location and volume of the remaining 150,000 households will be announced sequentially within two quarters after consultation with the local government.

Gwangmyeong Siheung (1271 million㎡) will be supplied with 70,000 houses in Gwangmyeong-dong, Okgil-dong, Siheung-si, and Gwarim-dong. Siheung, Gwangmyeong, which will be the 6th 3rd new city, has an area 4.3 times that of Yeouido, Seoul, and is the largest of the 3rd new cities to date.
The government plans to create a pleasant environment by creating parks, green areas and waterfront parks that are 1.3 times the area of Yeouido (3.8 million square meters) here. In addition, a railroad-centered public transportation system will be established to allow access to downtown Seoul in 20 minutes. In particular, urban railroads that pass through the new city in the north-south direction will be constructed to link with subway lines 1, 2 and 7, the Sinansan Line, and the GTX-B.
In the case of the Busan Daejeo District (243 million square meters), it is planned to be built in the area of Daejeo-dong, Gangseo-gu, Busan to supply 18,000 homes.
As a self-sufficient city linked to the Busan R&D Special Zone, a 620,000m2 park and green area will be built on a self-sufficient area of 150,000m2 to establish a green axis in connection with the Nakdong River. A new Busan Gimhae Light Rail Station will be established in the district to facilitate transportation to downtown Busan or Gimhae.
Gwangju Sanjeong District (1.68 million㎡) is a residential site built in Sanjeong-dong and Jangsu-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju City, and is supplied with 13,000 homes. In connection with the Gwangju-type job project, it will supply high-quality residential areas and build smart logistics and youth entrepreneurship platforms.
Land transaction permission zone designation from March 2nd
The Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs designate these new public housing site candidates as planned development areas immediately upon public notice of residents, and the surrounding areas are grouped into land transaction permission areas. It is expected to take effect from March 2 when it is announced on the 25th through the deliberation of the Central Urban Planning Committee on the 23rd.
In the land transaction permission zone, speculative land transactions such as land ownership or superficies are blocked for up to five years.
The government has devised and is implementing measures to revitalize compensation for land so that compensation from housing site development does not flow back into the real estate market and overheat the market. The first new public housing site announced this time will sequentially recruit tenants from 2025. To this end, the designation of districts will be completed in the first half of next year through public inspections.
Seoul city public housing complex development project also revealed candidate sites next month
In addition, the government plans to conduct consulting through the Integrated Support Center to promote new projects such as the urban public housing complex development project announced in the 2nd and 4th measures, and disclose some candidate sites that residents are willing to participate in next month.
In May, it plans to open a public offering for leading projects for major projects such as public direct implementation maintenance projects and urban public housing complex projects, and determine the first candidate site in July after consultation with local governments.
