The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 21st that the number of housing sales in January was 9,679 cases, down 35.4% from the previous month (14,281 cases), and 10.5% from the same month last year (101,334 cases).
By region, the volume of transactions in the metropolitan area was 47,000,132, a 25.4% decrease from the previous year, and the local transaction volume was 43.547, a decrease of 43.5%. Seoul’s January transaction volume was 12,275, down 24.2% from the previous year.
In Daegu, 2,954 cases were traded in January, a 63.1% decrease from the previous month (8,4 cases), the largest decrease in the country. It also decreased by 39.2% compared to the same month last year (4,859 cases).
A local real estate official said, “The economic sensation was frozen due to Corona 19, and the price was too high due to vague anxiety about the house price, but the actual transaction was frozen.” I predicted.
Of the last month’s transaction volume, the number of apartments (64,371 cases) by house type decreased 39.3% from the previous month, and that of non-apartment houses (26,308 cases) decreased by 23.2%.
The monthly cheonsei transaction volume aggregated based on the data on the confirmation date in January was 175,000, down 2.0% from the previous month (183,230 cases), and an increase of 3.4% compared to the same month last year (173,579 cases).
By region, the metropolitan area (116,000,684 cases) decreased by 3.8% compared to the previous year, while the regional (62,853 cases) increased by 1.4%. In Daegu, 5,260 transactions were traded, down 3.9% from the previous (5,471).
The share of monthly rent out of the monthly rent transaction volume was 41.0%, up 2.7 percentage points from the same month last year (38.3%).
