Gyeongju Red Crab Catcher Found an estimated one missing sailor… Land transfer by helicopter

The Gyeongbuk Pohang Maritime Police Station announced that it had found one suspected to be a missing red crab fishing boat A (9.77 tons, ship from Guryongpo), who had an accident at about 9:20 am on the 21st, 42km east of Gampo, Gyeongju. The Gyeongsangbuk-do Pohang Maritime Police Department announced on the 21st that it had found one suspected to be a missing crew member of the Guryongpo ship red crab fishing vessel A (9.77 tons) that was overturned off the coast of Gampo-eup, Gyeongju-si at around 9:20 am.

It was found 14 km from the accident site.

The coast guard is verifying the identity of the found crew wearing a life jacket.

The ship in the accident was aboard the captain, two Korean sailors, three Vietnamese sailors, and one Chinese Korean.

A Marine Police official said, “The found crew is unconscious of the pulse, breathing, and consciousness, and is preparing to be transported by helicopter. We are expanding the scope of the search to find the remaining missing persons.”
