A fire broke out at a hotel in Muju Resort, Jeollabuk-do, and 80 people, including guests, were evacuated, and one was taken to a hospital after drinking smoke.
Fortunately, the fire went out in five hours, and the fire department began investigating the cause of the fire.
On the other hand, the Jeongseon fire, which started yesterday afternoon, is struggling to extinguish due to the slope and strong winds, so a full-fledged extinguishing work using helicopters is scheduled to proceed with the sunrise today.

It’s a weekend, so I think there were a lot of users.
Please tell me the situation of Muju Resort first.

Yes, the fire started at around 11 p.m. yesterday (the 20th).
It happened in a five-story hotel in Muju Resort, Jeollabuk-do, where many guests stayed for the weekend.
First, the big fire was caught around 2:30 a.m., and the extinguishing was finished around 3:55 a.m. after 4 hours and 50 minutes.
With this fire, 87 people, including guests and staff in the room, evacuated themselves, and two were rescued by firefighters dispatched.
One of these women in her 50s was taken to a circle after inhaling smoke.
I had a hard time extinguishing the fire.
First of all, there is no fire station in Muju-gun, so I arrived from the nearest Jangsu fire station to the fire site in 40 minutes.
Here, the hotel itself is a wooden building, and as time went by, strong winds made it difficult to evolve.
Accordingly, at around 1:20 am, the second stage of fire response was initiated, in which personnel and equipment from nearby fire departments were mobilized.
First of all, the fire department believes that a fire started on the eaves roof of the building’s roof.
It is known that there was a firewood stove inside the hotel, and the exact cause of the fire will be investigated including this part.

There was a forest fire in Jeongseon yesterday afternoon, and we will also look at the current situation.
Is evolution still going on?
[기자]
Yes, it is.
The fire started at around 3:50 pm yesterday, and the extinguishing work has been underway for a full 12 hours.
Forest officials explained that about 60% of wildfires had been extinguished by 3 am today.
The range of fire, that is, the length of the flame has also been shortened from 700m to 500m.
The fire started at Mt. Nochu in Gujeol-ri, Yeoryang-myeon, Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do, around 3:50 pm yesterday (20th).
The Forest Service and the fire department mobilized 11 helicopters to immediately extinguish the fire, but the slope was severe and strong winds of more than 6 m/sec.
There is a private house at the bottom of the mountain, but no one has been injured by a forest fire yet.
However, it is estimated that 110,000㎡ of national forest was burned by this fire.
After sunset yesterday, helicopters were also withdrawn, establishing a proliferation barrier, focusing on preventing further spread rather than evolution.
Since last night, the strong winds have subsided at about 3m/sec, speeding up the evolution, but from 3 o’clock, strong winds are blowing again.
The forestry authorities explained that they would start the full-fledged evolution again by mobilizing 13 helicopters that were on standby at around 7 o’clock this morning.
So far, the Ministry of Social Affairs has delivered it.
