Pfizer-Bioentech, a US pharmaceutical company, has submitted new data to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) proving that there is no difference in the effectiveness of storing its Corona 19 vaccine in a regular freezer.

According to CNN on the 19th (local time), Pfizer announced that the new data on the day prove that its vaccine can be stably stored for two weeks at temperatures between -25 and -15 degrees Celsius. This is the refrigeration temperature applied to domestic refrigerators and commercial freezers.

Pfizer’s Corona 19 vaccine now has a label stating that it must be stored in a cryogenic freezer between -80 and -60 degrees Celsius, and in this case, it can be stored for up to 6 months. The label says that it can be stored at normal refrigerator temperature (2-8 degrees Celsius) for up to 5 days before mixing with salt thinner.

“This approval will make it much easier to manage the supply of vaccines in pharmacies and vaccination stations,” said Pfizer’s CEO Albert Bulla.
