On the 19th, Governor Won said in a statement regarding the completion of the Jeju 2nd Airport residents’ opinion poll, “We will quickly deliver the results of the survey as it is to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport through a joint process management committee in consultation with the Jeju Provincial Council.” I look forward to a wise decision from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.”

Governor Won also said, “Thank you to the citizens who participated in the investigation and the nine media companies belonging to the Jeju Island Journalists Association that organized the investigation.” I hope you do it.”

Previously, nine media outlets from the Jeju Island Journalists Association, which formed a consortium at the request of Jeju Island and the Jeju Island Council, released the results of the Jeju 2nd Airport residents’ poll conducted on the 15th to 17th, just after the Lunar New Year holiday, at 8:00 pm on the 18th.

As a result of the resident survey, Gallup Korea showed a 2.9 percentage point higher in opposition, with 47.0% against and 44.1% in favor. The results of the Ambrain Public survey were also 7.3%p higher, with 51.1% disagreeing and 43.8% agreeing.

On the other hand, the results of the survey of Seongsan residents showed that Gallup Korea had 64.9% in favor and 31.4% in favor, with 33.5%p higher in favor. Ambrain Public was also 65.6% in favor and 33.0% in favor, 32.6%p higher in favor.
