President Moon visited the Poonglim Pharmatech factory in Gunsan City, Jeollabuk-do this afternoon, and praised Korean small and medium-sized companies’ LDS vaccine syringe production capabilities. The LDS syringe is a’special syringe’ that minimizes the space between the piston and the needle to reduce the vaccine discarded during inoculation. Unlike general syringes that can inject up to 5 doses per bottle of vaccine, more than 6 doses per bottle can be injected. President Moon explained, “By improving the efficiency of the syringe, we save 20% of the vaccine, and eventually, we have the same effect as producing 20% more of the vaccine.”
President Moon said, “Because the supply of corona vaccine is insufficient worldwide now, the world’s attention is focused on the least residual syringe that can inoculate one more person per bottle of vaccine, and global pharmaceutical companies and medical advanced countries are “We are putting our lives and deaths on securing,” he encouraged, saying, “Our small and medium-sized companies Poonglim Pharmatech, Shin-A Yanghaeng, and Doowon Meditech are playing a proud role.”
