Taekyung Group held the ‘2025 Taekyung Group Vision Declaration Ceremony’ at the Textile Center in Daechi-dong, Seoul on the 18th, and announced a roadmap for the development of 33 innovative high-tech materials that make people, industries, and the environment sustainable. It was an event to unveil the blueprint of Taekyung Group, which is preparing for the next 50 years from 2025, which will mark its 50th anniversary. Taekyung Group Chairman Kim Hae-ryeon said, “We will develop 33 eco-friendly new materials that will be the core and foundation of ESG (environmental, social, governance) management by 2025, and induce eco-friendly transformation of all industries. “Taekyung Group’s mission is to focus on developing materials that contribute.”

According to the roadmap, Taekyung Group has also set a specific action plan to develop 33 new materials by 2025, accelerate advancement to 50 countries around the world, and secure 2500 customers. The development of 33 innovative new materials will be conducted on four axes: eco-friendly cosmetic materials (8), carbon dioxide capture (CCU) materials (8), recycled technology materials (8), and inorganic environmental new materials (9). With new materials to be developed in this way, the global territory will be expanded by 2025. The company plans to expand the number of materials of Taekyung Group, which is being supplied to 37 countries around the world, to 50. In particular, the company’s blueprint is to expand the market faster by competing with material powerhouses in Europe, such as France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Hungary, which are currently in the market. It plans to increase to 2,500 customers with 2090 individuals in industries such as steel, automobile, shipbuilding, chemical, tire, food, paper, semiconductor, construction, environment, and cosmetics.

Taekyung Group has grown into an inorganic chemical group in 1975, supplying POSCO with a desulfurization agent for the first time in Korea. Based on basic inorganic chemical materials, nanotechnology has been applied to advanced materials and has been supplying products to various industries.
