[전국]Concerns come true…Sequential infections throughout the Lunar New Year meeting ring

During the Lunar New Year holidays, when meetings of more than 5 people were banned, cases of group infections of family members have been confirmed throughout the country.

The infection spread to co-workers of the confirmed patients, but after the holidays, our quarantine has been a huge burden.

Families visit their parents’ house in Yeongdo-gu, Busan for the Lunar New Year holidays.

Six people gathered in one house and returned to their daily routine after spending time, but a diagnostic test revealed that all family members were infected with Corona 19.

The infection spread to the whole family after spending the holidays as before, without following the quarantine rule prohibiting gatherings of 5 or more people.

As such, three cases of the spread of Corona 19 through family gatherings during the holiday season were confirmed in Busan alone.

In Busanjin-gu, 7 out of 10 families were confirmed, and in Nam-gu, Busan, 6 family members were confirmed.

It has also been confirmed that infection through family gatherings has spread to 7 co-workers and their families after the holidays.

There are cases of confirmation after holiday family gatherings all over the country, including Bonghwa in Gyeongbuk, Jinju in Gyeongnam, and Sejong and Chungbuk.

The quarantine authorities plan to impose a penalty of 100,000 won per person on family members who violate the quarantine rules, and also plan to review claims for remedy according to the results of the investigation.
