According to the Meteorological Administration, the morning minimum temperature in major regions across the country is 10.2 degrees below zero in Seoul, 9.6 degrees below zero in Incheon, 9.5 degrees below zero in Suwon, 10.2 degrees below zero in Chuncheon, 8.5 degrees below zero in Cheongju, 7.1 degrees below zero in Daejeon, 6.2 degrees below zero in Jeonju, 5.1 below zero in Gwangju. Degrees, Daegu-5.8 degrees, Ulsan-5.3 degrees, Busan-4.9 degrees, and Jeju-1.6 degrees. The wind blows strongly, and the perceived temperature is 3 to 9 degrees lower. A lot of snow has been forecast in Chungcheong, Jeolla, western Gyeongnam, and Jeju Island. The snowfall in Jeollanam-do until 6 am on this day is 7.1cm in Damyang, 6.2cm in Gwangju mine, 4.7cm in Naju, 4.6cm in Gokseong, 4.4cm in Haksan in Yeongam, etc. In Jeonbuk, Sunchang with a heavy snow warning is the most common at 14.1 cm, with Jeongeup 9.5 cm, Gochang 5.3 cm, Gunsan 1.7 cm, and Jeonju 0.6 cm. Snowfall of 3 to 10 cm in the west coast of Chungnam, 1 to 3 cm in western Gyeongnam and central and southern Chungbuk, and heavy snowfall of up to 20 cm in Jeju, Ulleungdo and Dokdo were forecast. In the interior of the Chungcheong area and the western Gyeongsang Province, snow will stop on this afternoon, but the west coast of Chungnam and Jeolla-do are expected to continue until the 18th.
Some citizens who came to the streets from early in the morning at bus stops and subway stations in the city center were heavily armed with winter goods such as thicker coats, scarves, and gloves than the day before. In the snowy area, drivers on their way to work continued driving turtles because of fear of a traffic accident.

On the west coast, due to bad weather, passenger boat operations on all routes connecting Incheon and nearby islands were restricted. According to the Incheon Port Operation Management Center, waves of 3m or more rise and strong winds of 13~17m per second are blowing in the distant sea of Incheon, where the storm warning was issued this morning. Accordingly, 13 passenger ships on 11 routes including Incheon-Yeonpyeong Island and Incheon-Baekryeong-do will not operate on this day.
The Meteorological Administration predicted that this cold will continue until the 18th due to the influence of cold air continuously flowing from the northwest.
