Guest claims that the inside of the sauna of Grand Chosun Jeju, which opened on January 8th, was exposed to the outside and suffered damage. He complained that “I was shamed to shower naked in front of many people,” because he could see the inside of the sauna. Chosun Hotels & Resorts, which operates the hotel, said it was a mistake in the operation and said it would take measures to prevent recurrence.

On the 16th, an article written by a person who stayed at this hotel during a honeymoon was posted in a community on an online portal site. He claimed that “the naked body was exposed in the sauna of a 5-star hotel in Jeju.” I used the hotel sauna for two days while using the hotel’s swimming pool and shower facilities, and unlike the hotel’s explanation that it had a’mirror coating’ that prevents the inside of the window from being seen, the inside of the sauna was clearly visible from the outside.

The author claimed, “I even saw the thermometer inside the sauna.” He also wrote that while he was using the sauna facility, many women and minors were included. The author said, “I paid more than 800,000 won per night, and my wife and I used the bathroom in front of others, and I was convicted of taking a shower naked in front of many people.” Insisted.

According to the hotel, the facility is located on the third floor of the new building. The hotel admitted to an operational mistake. However, as a result of checking through a closed circuit (CC) TV with the customer who raised the problem at the time, there was no damage such as exposure of the naked body to the outside.

In a phone call with the JoongAng Ilbo, a Jeju official from Grand Chosun said, “As we were informed to the customer, the mirror coating was applied to the window, but there were some missing areas.” It was an operational mistake not to lower the window, and instead of lowering or raising the blinds by time, we changed the operating policy to always hit the blinds,” he explained.

The five-star Grand Chosun Jeju opened last month after remodeling the Kensington Hotel Jeju in the Jungmun complex of Jeju.
