Unification activist Paik Ki-wan’s civic incense center installed in Gwangju

A civic incense center for the late Paik Ki-wan, the head of the Institute for Unification Studies, will be set up in Gwangju, a big adult of the Korean progressive movement.

According to the Participant Autonomy 21 on the 15th, the citizen’s incense center will be established in the Mujin Hall on the 2nd floor of the YMCA in Gwangju. The incense burner is open from 6 pm on this day to the 18th, the day before the ceremony. Operating hours are from 9 am to 8 pm.

Paik Ki-wan’s funeral is held as the chairman. At 8 am on the 19th, the seal will be held at Seoul National University Hospital, and at 11 am, a ceremony will be held in the plaza in front of the city hall. Jangji is Maseok Moran Park in Gyeonggi-do.

Paik Ki-wan died on the morning of this morning after fighting illness at Seoul National University Hospital.

He is a writer of novels and essays such as’The Story of Jangsan Gotmae’, and is also the original author of the feature poem’Moonbinari’, which was the birthplace of the lyrics of the folk song’The March for Being’.

The survivors include his wife Kim Jeong-suk, daughter Won-dam (professor of Chinese Language and Chinese Studies at Sungkonghoe University), Mi-dam and Hyun-dam, and son Il (professor of Ulsan University of Science).
