With the spread of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) in Korea, sporadic infections are continuing across the country. Group infections have occurred in major university hospitals in the metropolitan area, and large and small infections are continuing through groups of families and relatives, workplaces, and sports facilities.

According to the Central Defense Countermeasure Headquarters (Bang Dae-bon) on the 14th, a new case of group infection occurred in the metropolitan area, involving relatives, hospitals, and workplaces.

In relation to a relative meeting in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province (relative group number 2), after the first confirmed case came out on the 11th, during the contact investigation, a bunch of 15 family members and relatives were confirmed. Of the 16 cumulative confirmed cases, 13 were confirmed in Yeoju and the other 3 were confirmed in Naju, Jeollanam-do. In connection with this case, the quarantine authorities are known to have conducted an epidemiological investigation on two Syrian nationals who were confirmed in Naju on the 12th, and they confirmed that they had previously attended the family gathering in Yeoju on the 6th and started a test.

At a medical institution in Seo-gu, Incheon, after the first confirmed patient (indicator patient) occurred on the 11th, 10 additional patients, including patients, family members, and guardians, were tested positive, and the cumulative number of confirmed cases to date was 11. In relation to a savings bank in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, a total of 10 people, including employees and family members, have been tested positive and are undergoing treatment.

In the existing outbreak cases, additional confirmed cases are emerging and the scale of infection is increasing.

At the Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, a total of 56 people were confirmed by 0:00 on the day. Among the confirmed cases, 28 patients, 12 caregivers, and 8 hospital workers and guardians each. In the case of Hanyang University Hospital in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, three additional patients were confirmed, and the cumulative number was 101.

Regarding the sports facility located in Guro-gu, Seoul, 11 of the contacts were additionally tested positive and the number of confirmed cases increased to 25, and the number of confirmed cases related to the Yongsan-gu acquaintance meeting was added to a total of 62.

In the case of family and acquaintances in Seo-gu, Incheon, a total of 30 people have been confirmed so far, and the number of confirmed cases related to the Seungri Altar and Ohjeong Ability Training Academy in Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do increased to a total of 128.

In Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, the number of confirmed cases related to a manufacturing industry and Islamic mosque increased to 27, and in cases related to Pyeongtaek restaurants and Islamic worship centers, 5 additional people were tested positive, resulting in a cumulative 16. In the area of ​​16 Pyeongtaek cases, only one is in Pyeongtaek, and the remaining 15 are in Dangjin, Chungcheongnam-do.

Infection also continued in many places outside the metropolitan area.

While investigating contacts in connection with an infection case at a construction site in Sejong City, one additional person was tested positive, and a total of 12 were confirmed. Of these, 9 are workers, 2 are family members, and 1 are other cases. They came from Sejong (6), Ulsan (3), and Daejeon, Incheon, and Gyeongnam (1 each).

In the case of one family in Buk-gu, Daegu, a total of 32 people were confirmed, with an increase of 1, and the cumulative number of confirmed cases increased to 47 with an additional positive test for the office in Buk-gu.

In Busan, cases of infection related to nursing homes, nursing facilities, and anti-transport unions followed. In connection with a nursing home in Jung-gu, Busan, a total of 24 people increased, and 5 people were confirmed related to a nursing facility in Haeundae-gu, a total of 28. The number of confirmed cases related to the Western shipping union was added to a total of 65.

Meanwhile, the proportion of patients who do not know the exact time and route of infection was in the 24% range. Of the 5,323 new confirmed cases reported to the quarantine authorities in the last two weeks from the 1st of this month to the day of this month, 1,317 cases are currently being investigated, accounting for 24.7% of the total. This rate has risen slightly from the previous day (24.2%), and has been above the 20% level since early December last year.
