The government has announced that it will announce the February-March implementation plan for the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) vaccination on the 15th, one day ahead of the original schedule.

On the 14th, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) central quarantine countermeasures headquarters (Bang Dae-bon) said, “The corona vaccination plan briefing has been advanced from the 16th to 11 am tomorrow.” I will guide you.”

According to the vaccination plan announced last month by the Agency for Disease Control and Prevention, the targets for the first quarter of this year are 830,000 people, including 50,000 medical staff who treat corona patients and 780,000 elderly and workers in nursing hospitals and nursing facilities.

In particular, in this briefing, it is expected that interest will be gathered on whether the AstraZeneca vaccine will actually be vaccinated against the elderly 65 years of age or older and those with chronic diseases according to the approval of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced on the 10th that the targets for the AstraZeneca vaccine were adults, including the elderly aged 65 or older. Patients with chronic diseases such as high blood pressure or diabetes were not excluded from the vaccination. However, for the elderly over 65 years old, the condition was put on the doctor’s judgment and careful administration.
