The government has decided to lower the’social distancing’ step from the 15th to 2 steps in the metropolitan area and 1.5 steps in the non-metropolitan area to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19). The restrictions on business hours for restaurants and cafes were also eased, but it was decided to keep the ban on private gatherings with more than 5 people. In other words, it is impossible for more than 5 people to go to a restaurant and cafe.

On the 13th, the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (middle script) announced that it would extend the operating time limit for multi-use facilities such as restaurants and cafes in the metropolitan area by one hour from 9 pm to 10 pm. Restaurants and cafes in the metropolitan area can continue packaging and delivery sales after 10 pm. In the meantime, the non-metropolitan area, which had been until 10 pm, was completely lifted so that it could be operated without restrictions.

In restaurants and cafes, quarantine rules must be observed. As before, when entering and exiting restaurants and cafes, a list must be filled out, and when not eating, you must wear a mask. Restaurants and cafes should also follow quarantine rules, such as limiting the number of people, keeping tables apart, and installing partitions. In case of violating the quarantine rules, a fine of 3 million won or less is imposed to the facility operator and 100,000 won to the user.

Starting next week, 5 or more immediate family members (directly living) can gather. An exception was allowed for groups of 5 or more. The immediate continuation includes grandparents, maternal grandparents, and parents, and non-subordinate families include sons and daughters-in-law, daughters and son-in-laws, grandchildren, and granddaughters. However, brothers and sisters are not included. For this reason, it is still forbidden to meet five or more brothers or sisters without parents.

Sports business facilities with facility managers are also excluded from the ban on meetings of five or more. However, the game can be held only if the quarantine rules such as filling in an access list, wearing a mask, washing hands, and carrying hand sanitizers are followed.
