The first emergency measures to reduce fine dust this year are being implemented in the metropolitan area and Chungcheong Province.

Fine dust is expected to be resolved with a cold wind blowing from tomorrow afternoon.

Is the sky very cloudy?

Yes, on the last day of the holiday, the weather became stuffy due to fine dust.

Cloudy ultrafine dust obscures the view and the buildings across the river are also blurred.

Currently, the concentration of ultrafine dust in Seoul is 58 micrograms, showing a bad stage, and other regions except Jeju are also soaring from bad to very bad.

This is because the atmosphere is congested in the warm weather, and smog from China overlaps.

Ultrafine dust warnings have been issued in the metropolitan areas such as Seoul and western regions such as Chungcheong and Jeonbuk.

In the metropolitan area and Chungcheong provinces, emergency measures to reduce fine dust were also issued for the first time in this year.

As a result, the operating hours of businesses and construction sites with a lot of fine dust emissions are shortened until 9 pm tonight, and outdoor events organized by cities and autonomous regions are also prohibited.

Today, the sky will gradually become cloudy, and it will rain from afternoon in Chungcheong and southern regions, and from night in the metropolitan area and Yeongseo region.

However, the amount of rain is small, so it cannot eliminate fine dust.

The expected amount of rain is 10 to 30 mm on the southern coast of Jeonnam and the coast of Yeongnam and Jeju Island, and around 5 mm in other regions.

Even during the day, the early spring weather will continue and it will be warm.

The daytime temperature will rise to 15 degrees in Seoul and Daegu, 16 degrees in Daejeon, and 17 degrees in Gwangju, mostly around 15 degrees.

Tomorrow, after the rain stops in the morning, a cold wind blows from the north from the afternoon, and air quality will recover to normal levels.

However, the weather will get cold again, and the temperature in Seoul on Tuesday morning is expected to drop to -6 degrees Celsius and -10 degrees Celsius on Wednesday morning.

It is very regrettable that the holidays are over, but the weather is not comfortable due to fine dust.

Today, it is better to wear a mask for fine dust with KF 80 or higher that can prevent high concentration of fine dust.
