Gyeongnam Province announced on the 13th that it will ease social distancing for two weeks from the 15th to 1.5 steps from the current 2nd phase, following the announcement of the government’s social distancing adjustment plan.

The province made this decision after a meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters after comprehensively reviewing the decline in the number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) in the Gyeongnam region and the opinions of the Si/Gun and the Living Prevention Council.

The economic damage to the common people due to long-term restrictions on operation such as self-employed people was also reflected.

The ban on private gatherings with more than 5 people remains the same.

However, for immediate family members, the ban on private gatherings of 5 or more people, even if they are not living together, is not applied.

Five or more people can gather in cases where care is needed, such as children, the elderly, and the disabled, and if there is a possibility of dying.

Operating hours for multi-use facilities such as restaurants, cafes, singing practice centers, and indoor sports facilities are canceled.

However, door-to-door sales and public relations halls must stop operating after 10 pm.

Six types of entertainment facilities, such as entertainment, danran, emotional pub, and hunting pot tea, are open until 10 pm if the core quarantine rules are followed.

The key quarantine rules are a maximum of 4 people per room, prohibition of movement between tables, and installation of acrylic boards for karaoke facilities.

Marriage and funeral ceremonies, as well as movies and performance halls, were also eased.

In the case of sports viewing, only 30% of the total number of seats can be admitted and viewed.

Religious facilities can be held face-to-face for up to 30% of seats, such as regular worship services.

However, gatherings, meals, and lodging activities organized by religious facilities are prohibited.

Shin Jong-woo, head of the Welfare and Health Bureau, said, “This adjustment is a decision that takes into account the difficulties of livelihoods,” he said.
