[파이낸셜경제=김윤정 기자] Tesla electric car sales began.
On the 12th, Tesra Korea began accepting orders for the mid-sized electric SUV (multipurpose vehicle)’Model Y.’ For’Model Y’, the standard range, which is the basic model, is 59.9 million won, the long range is 69.9 million won, and the performance is 7999 million won.
The standard range plus of the ‘2021 Model 3’released with Model Y is 54.79 million won~, the long range is 5999 million won~, and the performance is 74.79 million won~. The 2021 model 3 long range price was 4.8 million won lower than the 2020 model 3.
In the case of Model Y, subsidies for electric vehicles can receive 100% of the standard range and 50% of the long range and performance respectively.
On the 21st of last month, the government and local governments (local governments) confirmed and announced this year’s electric vehicle subsidy reform plan. Electric vehicles over 90 million won were excluded from the subsidy. 50% of EVs under 60 million to 90 million won, and less than 60 million won are paid in full.
In the automobile industry, there was a prospect that the price of the new model would be determined based on the 60 million won set by the government for the launch of a new car. This is because, considering the price competition in the global electric vehicle market, it is inevitable to be sensitive to the government subsidy support policies of each country. The industry explains that in order to cover the cost of expensive electric vehicles with subsidies, there will be concerns about pricing according to the government’s subsidy policy.
The higher the performance, such as fuel consumption by electric vehicle model and the mileage according to the battery capacity, the higher the performance, the higher the national subsidy. Additional local government subsidies are paid differently for each local government.
The Model Y standard range is expected to be delivered to Korea in 2H. Model Y long range and performance are expected to be delivered to Korea in the first half of the year.
