An international academic journal, which decided to publish a dissertation by a Harvard University professor describing the victims of comfort women as prostitutes, has launched its own investigation into the allegations of the paper.

In response to the growing criticism of history distortion, Japanese historians are pressing the editorial staff by sending open letters supporting the thesis.

This is the website of the’International Legal Economy Review’ which was scheduled to be published in the March issue of a dissertation on comfort women by Harvard Law School Professor Mark Ramsey.

A notice of’expressing concern’ is floating on Professor Ramsey’s thesis.

Concerns have been raised regarding historical evidence.

The journal has said it is investigating the claims in the paper and will provide additional information when possible.

This is in response to criticism for distorting the history of the comfort women victims, such as portraying them as prostitutes.

The Japanese history academia started looking for Professor Ramsey’s thesis.

Six Japanese historians, including Michio Ezaki, Vice Chairman of the Japan Association for Historical Perception, sent open letters to the journal.

Vice-Chairman Ezaki et al. argued that Professor Ramsey’s thesis was an outstanding result based on a surprisingly extensive source material.

They also pressed the editorial staff to say that the paper should be published in the March issue as scheduled, saying, “It should not be subject to censorship.”

However, criticism is growing, with an article reprinted in a Harvard campus newspaper saying that Professor Ramsey’s thesis is an example of Japan’s continued efforts to silence victims of sexual slavery.
