The number of new corona 19 confirmed cases in Korea has exceeded 500 in just 15 days.

Group infection is continuing, mainly in religious facilities and academies in the metropolitan area, and concerns are growing due to the Lunar New Year holidays.

This week, the number of confirmed cases has dropped to the 2~300 range, but it has increased to 500.

As of 0 o’clock today, there are all 504 new confirmed cases of Corona 19.

The number of people increased by 60 from the previous day, and after 559 on the 27th of last month, it has risen to the 500 mark in 15 days.

This is because large and small group infections continue in the metropolitan area, such as a bunch of confirmed patients appearing at the Seungri Altar and academy at Yeongsaenggyo, Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do.

In addition, the infectious reproductive index in the metropolitan area has exceeded 1, and the spread of the mutant virus with strong transmission power is also a concern.

In terms of the path of infection, 467 people occurred in Korea and 37 people inbound abroad.

In Korea, 383 people occurred in the metropolitan area, accounting for 82% of the total.

Seoul has 177 people, Gyeonggi 181 people and Incheon 25 people.

Outside the metropolitan area, Busan is the largest with 29, Gangwon with 11, Daegu with 10, Gwangju with 9, Jeonbuk with 7 etc.

Of the 37 cases of foreign inflow, 15 were confirmed during the quarantine stage.

The number of deaths increased by 10 to 1,496.

The number of patients with severe gastric disorders decreased by 14 to 170.

The quarantine authorities cautioned that this Lunar New Year holiday could be a channel for the spread of infection, right?

It is revealed that the number of confirmed cases, which has continued to decline since December 25 last year, has exceeded 500 today, following the 400 yesterday.

Last week, more than 75% of confirmed cases in Korea occurred in the metropolitan area, and he said he is concerned that the metropolitan area’s infectious material production index will exceed 1 and will continue to increase during the Lunar New Year holidays.

From the perspective of the quarantine authorities, he pointed out that the meaning of the Lunar New Year holidays is greater than ever, and that there is a possibility that many people living in other countries can move and meet as a pathway for the spread of infection.

He then emphasized that there should be no commas in quarantine, saying that if the tension on quarantine is released because it is the Lunar New Year holiday, the pain and patience of the quarantine can be in vain.

In addition, he said that the ban on private gatherings with more than 5 people was very effective in suppressing the 3rd outbreak, and asked for strict adherence to quarantine regulations such as wearing masks and banning private gatherings with more than 5 people during the Lunar New Year holidays.
