Regarding Kane’s need to leave Tottenham to win the trophy, Mourinho said, “He only needs to win one game to win the trophy. The Carabao Cup final in April will be a very important and difficult match.”
When asked by a reporter that Kane can no longer wait for Tottenham to win the trophy, Mourinho said, “Ask this to Kane. But the expression to wait (for the trophy) is not appropriate. You have to fight for the trophy.”
Tottenham has survived all current cup competitions. As manager Mourinho said earlier, Tottenham competed in the finals of the League Cup, Carabao Cup, against Manchester City in April.
The UEFA Europa League will face off against Austrian Wolfsberger in the round of 16. The FA Cup also faces Everton in the fifth round of the round of 16.
For Mourinho, Kane is a Tottenham attack that goes beyond the core.
