Minister of SMEs and Startups Kwon Chil-seung announced on the 8th that, “I will take care of the recovery of the business of small businesses first” with Ilsung.
Minister Kwon said in his inauguration address that day, “We will provide prompt and practical help for the recovery of the business of the small businesses who are suffering the most damage. To this end, we will actively consult with related ministries and the National Assembly,” he said.
Minister Kwon has been conducting official duties since the 5th. Minister Kwon’s inauguration ceremony was not held separately in consideration of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19), and the inauguration was posted on the homepage of the Ministry of Mid-term and International Affairs.
Minister Kwon promised, “By enacting the Local Commercial District Act, we will strengthen the competitiveness of the commercial district and create a stable business environment for small business owners, and promote the restoration of the commercial district, such as promoting the renaissance in the commercial district, to inspire new vitality in the region.” The Local Commercial Rights Act is a law that prevents gentrification through voluntary win-win agreements between tenants and landlords in commercial areas.
He also revealed his ambition to further expand venture investment by enacting the’Non-face-to-Face Small and Medium Venture Business Promotion Act’ to systematically foster small and medium-sized venture companies that led the economic recovery despite the crisis of Corona 19.
Candidate Kwon said, “We will accelerate the innovation of traditional SMEs through the three major manufacturing plant innovation projects such as smart manufacturing innovation, eco-friendly process innovation, and new business transformation innovation.” I will make it the subject of innovation.”
In addition, it promised to raise the level of win-win economy to the next level with the value of’solidarity and cooperation’. Specifically, it aims to create synergy between companies through cooperation between global companies and startups, cooperation between platform companies and small business owners, and cooperation between large and medium-sized companies and SMEs.
Regarding the direction of organizational operation, he said he will create an open and horizontal organizational culture in which individual abilities are fully exercised under autonomy and responsibility instead of unilateral directions based on rank and hierarchy.
He said, “I think communication is the most important. I will meet the staff who are closest to the policy customers,” and promised, “I will talk and communicate with the secretary and officials who are the starting point of all policies.”
