[사회]Courier boxes piled up in distribution centers… “Social agreement is invalid” by the agency

Some terminal sorting work disrupted… “No manpower is allowed”
Unsorted boxes stacked up… Enough to be taller than an adult
“Insufficient alternative sorting manpower disrupts sorting work”

Last month, courier companies such as CJ Logistics and the courier union agreed to put additional manpower into the sorting process.

Some distribution centers are still stocked with unsorted courier boxes.

This is because the sorting manpower is still insufficient, and the conflict is rising again as the courier agency insisted on the invalidity of the agreement.

There is a reporter on the scene. Reporter Hong Min-ki!

I thought the agreement was over over the parcel sorting work last month, but there are concerns about the parcel outbreak again?

[기자]

Yes, it is.

First of all, the place I am out of is a logistics terminal in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do.

This is where packages once sorted at the main terminal are sorted once again by region.

However, sorting is disrupting in some terminals.

I will explain by watching the video inside the distribution terminal obtained by YTN.

Boxes are stacked up to the height of an adult by the rails of the distribution center.

It even looks like the pile of boxes will collapse anytime soon.

As the sorting process was delayed, the courier boxes were randomly stacked so that they didn’t block the rails.

Last month, the labor and management agreed to exclude the sorting work from the courier driver’s job and to employ sorting personnel.

Accordingly, CJ Logistics, Hanjin Express, and Lotte Express announced on the 4th that they have put in 6,000 sorting personnel.

However, the courier agencies between the courier company and the courier driver say they did not know the contents of this agreement at all because they were left out of the discussion.

It is a situation in which the agency even claims that the missing agreement is invalid.

The fact is that most of the manpower employed by the courier service is actually the most of the manpower hired by the agency, and the agency is also paying expenses such as labor costs.

Of course, not all terminals are in the same situation.

The courier agency claimed that this is happening at relatively many agencies and terminals with courier service drivers who have joined the union.

So, is there a possibility of another logistics disruption?

[기자]

First of all, the Federation of Courier Agents is requesting a new consensus table that includes agents.

If it is not accepted, it has been decided to refuse the collection work starting on the 17th.

In this case, about 2,000 of the 4,000 courier agencies, including CJ, will suffer from shipping and sorting.

Conflicts are also arising as drivers belonging to the courier union are removed from the sorting process, and the work of non-union drivers is increasing.

It is noted whether further discussions will take place in the social consensus body.
