[Monday Newspaper = Reporter Dabin Kim]The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 7th that it plans to purchase and supply 45,000 households as purchased rental housing this year to stabilize housing for low-income families such as young people, newlyweds, and the elderly.
The target of 45,000 households is an increase of more than 60% compared to 28,000 households in the last year’s purchase rental housing supply. It is also the largest supply target ever since it started the purchased rental housing business in 2004.
The purchased rental housing method is a housing in which public housing businesses such as Korea Land and Housing Corporation purchase existing housing, renovate, renovate, or remodel existing housing and rent it at low cost to tenants. It has the advantage of being able to quickly supply houses that can be accessed directly within the city center.
To this end, the government plans to secure the quantity through ▲a new construction purchase agreement ▲public remodeling ▲existing housing purchase method.
First, it plans to supply 21,000 households through a new construction purchase agreement. It is carried out in the manner of contracting before the main construction to purchase houses built by private businesses by public housing businesses after completion.
Incentives to provide priority supply of public housing sites and additional points are provided to business operators who have decided to supply more than a certain amount of housing through a purchase agreement to induce business operators to ease the burden and secure supply.
It plans to supply 8,000 households through public remodeling. It means that old houses or non-vacant houses (shopping malls, tourist hotels, etc.) will be newly constructed after major repairs or demolition.
It plans to supply 16,000 households through the purchase of existing homes. Public housing business owners purchase houses that have been granted completion permission from the licensing authorities and supply them to low-income families after renovation and repairs such as paperwork and floor coverings.
Suho Suh, head of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport’s Public Housing Support Division said, “We greatly expanded the supply of purchased rental housing this year, and as we promoted various institutional improvements last year, it will help stabilize more low-income families.” Newlyweds will give up childbirth and continue to develop the purchased rental housing business so that the elderly do not have to worry about moving.
