Two Chinese military aircraft entered Taiwan’s Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) on the 7th (local time), citing Taiwanese forces, the Taiwan Central News Agency (CNA) reported.
According to the report, the broadcast announced that “two Chinese Yun(運·Y)-8 anti-submarine patrol aircraft flew over the South China Sea between Taiwan and the Dongxia Islands,” and “Chinese forces invaded ADIZ for four consecutive days.”
He added, “To monitor these Chinese military aircraft, the Taiwanese Air Force quickly sorted out to warn them by radio, and operated the anti-aircraft defense until these military aircraft left ADIZ.”
This year, Chinese military aircraft entered Taiwan’s ADIZ on the 33rd, including this day.
Meanwhile, the Taiwanese government is reportedly investing 20 billion won on maintenance of the air warfare training system in response to pressure from China. According to Taiwanese media such as Binguilbo, the Taiwan Air Force signed a contract with the National Institute of Zhongshan Science and Technology (NCSIST), a Taiwanese national defense research institute, in early last month for maintenance and service of an air combat training real-time display system (ACTIS/TAS).

The newspaper added that the goal of the contract is to strengthen Taiwanese military air defense training so that they can respond well to various outbreaks.
The Free Times reported that the contract between the Taiwan Air Force and NCSIST will invest 530,744,000 Taiwan dollars (about 21.3 billion won) for five years from the 11th of this month to the end of December 2024.
An official from NCSIST explained that ACTIS is one of the air warfare simulation systems that cultivate and strengthen the skills of pilots and air defense units on the ground by simulating responses to enemy invasion and simulated attacks by enemies.
